Oh and, by the way, Diablo Immortal had it’s Closed Beta in Oktober, Release in June. We are close to July, if the they would want to follow D3’s time schedule, they’d need to announce the Closed Beta very soon, likely within the next 2 months for the end of autumn. This is also when the ActivisionBlizzard and Microsoft deal will be done with, a good timing, a perfect timing, to add a major IP with a brand new sequel to the XBOX Game Pass. “All games shown will be playable within the next 12 months”. Diablo 4, according to the XBOX Game Show, will be released early June. Diablo 3’s Closed Beta started at the end of September, the Release Date was in midst of May. Because tests will, most likely, be a different and bigger scale, the Closed Beta will have to be longer than what it was in Diablo 3. This is why Blizz stated that they will this time do extensive tests and endgame will be a major testing point. I don’t want to bash on D3, it did many things right, and critical aspects wrong. The hunt for better gear is important, but if you have a Set that you can acquire in no time that grants you 300.000% damage boost and is only upgradeable by tiny steps afterwards, with the exact same item, then it becomes dull. Rifting over and over again quickly became boring and that was not only due to the Rift System, but also due to itemization. Yes it is fun, but it doesn’t feel like D3 or an ARPG endgame. It is no secret that D3 failed in this regard, the content that came after wards was mediocre at best. It did not test the most important aspect in ARPGs, the endgame. Highly likely that D4 will have its Closed Beta around the end of this year.įirst of all, you could say that the D3 CB was a total failure.
